Gayatri Traders

Gayatri Traders is situated on Dr S.M Das Road in Otur. We are right near the Blue Diamond Hotel Stand, which makes it easy for people to find us. That hotel stand is always full of people, so there is a lot of energy around this part of town. Our shop is pretty straightforward. We have the goods out where people can see them and a small space in the back for the heavy lifting. It gets a bit crowded on the road sometimes, especially when the buses or the taxis are all lined up near the stand. We spend our days mostly handling the stock and talking to the regulars who come in from Otur and the nearby villages. It’s a lot of manual work, and we usually end the day feeling it in our backs. We don't use any fancy systems, just our ledgers and some common sense. The fan in the corner makes a clicking noise that we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. Sometimes the traffic on Dr S.M Das Road gets so backed up that we just stand at the door and watch the world go by for a few minutes. It’s a honest way to make a living. We know the people around here, and they know us. We just keep the doors open and do what needs to be done every day without making a big fuss about it. It’s just how we run things here.
