No Company

If you go to Kanza near the Patel Samaj in Vanthali, you’ll find us. We are in the Junagadh district of Gujarat. We don't have a big corporate identity, so we just call ourselves No Company. It’s a very rural setting compared to the big cities. The Patel Samaj is the main landmark around here, so everyone knows where that is. We work out of a small building that is pretty basic. It gets quite hot in this part of India, so we usually have a fan going all day long. We don't have any fancy software or high-tech gadgets. We use what we have and we make it work. The pace of life here in Gujarat is slower, and we like that. We know the people in the village and they know us. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and then go home to our families. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the best at anything. We are just a small group of people working in Kanza. It’s a practical and honest way to live. There are no corporate meetings or polished reports here. We just talk to each other and get the day started. It’s a simple, local operation that fits our lives perfectly in this part of Junagadh.
