Vora Fidali Kamruddin

We've been here at Dhal Road for quite a while now. It is right near Mandvi Chowk, so it gets pretty busy during the day. Sometimes the traffic is a mess, but that is just how it is in this part of town. Our shop is just a regular place where we handle our business. People know us around here because we have been in the same spot for years. My father used to say that being close to the chowk was the most important thing for a business like Vora Fidali Kamruddin. We do our work, talk to the customers who stop by, and try to keep things moving. There is not much to say that would sound fancy. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and get to it. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the bikes go past. Other days it feels like everyone in the district decided to come to our street at once. We deal with whatever comes our way. The building is old but it stays cool enough in the summer. If you are walking down from the chowk, you will see us easily. We don't have big flashing signs or anything like that. It is just the name on the board and us inside. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here too. Usually, we close up when it gets dark and head back home to rest for the next day.
