V. V. Engineering Works

V. V. Engineering Works has been operating out of Plot No.201/9 in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Area, Phase-2 of Dolatpara. This place is full of workshops and small factories, so we fit right in with our neighbors. We’ve got a fairly large shed where we do all our fabrication and assembly. It gets pretty loud when the grinders and drills are going, so we don't do much talking during the work hours. Most of us just focus on the metal in front of us. We do a lot of custom work—brackets, frames, and various things that people can't find in a store. We don't have a showroom or anything fancy like that to show off. If you want to see what we do, you just walk into the shop and look at the projects currently sitting on the floor. The floors are stained with oil and there’s metal shavings in every corner, no matter how much we sweep up at the end of the day. It’s just the way a real engineering shop is supposed to look. We’ve been in Dolatpara for quite a few years now and have seen many businesses come and go. We stay because we have our regular customers who know we do honest work for a fair price. We don't use big words to describe what we offer. We just cut and weld until the piece is right. It’s hard work, but it is a good living for us.
