Jayco Pipe Industries

Jayco Pipe Industries is situated right on the Veraval Highway Road in Sondarada. It’s a dusty spot out in the Keshod area of Junagadh, but being on the highway makes it easy for the trucks to pull in and out. We make pipes, mostly for water and agricultural use, which is a big deal in this part of Gujarat. The yard is always full of stacks of PVC and metal pipes waiting to be loaded. It’s a noisy place with the machines running all day, and you have to yell a bit to be heard over the hum. The office is just a small cabin at the front where we keep the ledgers and take orders. It gets pretty hot under the tin roof, but we’ve got a few good fans that keep the air moving. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby villages. We don't have any formal dress codes; it's just work clothes that can get dirty. We handle everything from the manufacturing to the loading ourselves. Sometimes the highway traffic gets backed up, which slows down our deliveries, but that’s just life on the road. We aren't a huge corporation, just a local factory making sure the farmers and builders around here have the pipes they need to keep things running. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we like the routine of it and the people we work with every day.
