Our shop is right by the Timbadi Bypass, close to the Madhuram Gate. It’s a spot that gets a lot of people passing through on their way into town. We focus on home decor items, so our shelves are full of various things like curtains, rods, and small fittings. It’s not a high-end boutique with bright lights and fancy displays. It’s more of a place where things are piled up and you have to look around a bit to find what you want. We enjoy the process of showing people different fabrics and seeing what they like for their houses. The bypass can get loud with the trucks, but we keep the front door open to let some air in. We are just a small crew here, mostly family. We don't have a big corporate strategy or anything like that. We just try to keep the shelves stocked with things people actually use. Sometimes the inventory takes a while to arrive, and we have to explain that to our regulars over a cup of tea. Working near Madhuram Gate means we see a lot of the same faces every day. We’ve decorated our own space with some of the leftovers from the shop, so it feels a bit like home. It’s a humble business, and we are happy just keeping the lights on and serving the local crowd.
