If you ever find yourself on Jai Shree Talkies Road, you might have walked right past us. Shriram Express Courier Service is tucked away at number 2, Jb Chamber. We are right below Sagar Restaurant, so there is usually a smell of food drifting down while we work on sorting the parcels. It’s a small space, but it stays busy from the moment we open the shutters in the morning. Parcels and envelopes get piled up on the counters quite fast. We spend a lot of time writing out receipts and checking addresses on the labels. It can get a bit chaotic when the delivery vans arrive and everyone is trying to move boxes at once. The street outside is always crowded, so getting things in and out takes some patience. We’ve been in this building for a good bit now, and the locals know us as the place under the restaurant. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure things get sent to the right places. Sometimes the computers act up or a label gets smudged, but we just fix it and keep going. It’s a simple operation. We don’t use any fancy tracking systems that don’t work; we just try to be careful with what people bring us. Usually, there's a lot of tea drinking and talking with the neighbors while we wait for the next batch of mail to arrive.
