Shreyansh Art Center

You can find us on Uparcot Road in Junagadh. Being near the fort area means there is always a bit of history in the air. Our art center is a bit of a mess, but that is how it usually is when you have people painting and drawing all day. There are charcoal smudges on the door frames and some dried paint on the floor that we cannot seem to scrub off no matter how hard we try. We have a lot of natural light coming in from the windows, which is good for seeing colors properly. We spend our time setting up easels and cleaning brushes in the small sink in the back. The plumbing is a bit old, so the tap leaks a little if you do not turn it off just right. We have stacks of canvases leaning against the walls and boxes of pencils everywhere. It is not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. The street outside is often busy with tourists and locals going up toward the fort. We usually have some music playing quietly in the background, but mostly it is just the sound of pencils scratching on paper. Sometimes we run out of a specific color and have to wait for the next delivery to arrive. It is a relaxed kind of place, no one is in a huge rush here. We just like to get things done at our own pace.
