Saurastra Chemicals Limited - Nirma Ltd

Out here in Junagadh, we stay pretty busy at the plant. Being part of the Nirma family is a big thing for us, but on the ground, we’re just a bunch of locals working in the chemical industry. The air has that specific smell of industry, and the machinery runs pretty much around the clock. Gujarat is a good place for this kind of work. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and a lot of the families around here have someone working with us. It’s not fancy work, and the sun can get really hot during the summer months, but it’s what we do. We manage the chemical side of things, making sure everything is processed right. Sometimes the equipment acts up or the logistics of getting things out of Junagadh get tricky, but we figure it out as we go. We aren’t big on fancy speeches or polished brochures. Most of us grew up around here and stayed. The facility is large, and there’s always something that needs fixing or checking. It keeps us on our toes. People know us in town as the place near the main roads that keeps the lights on. It’s hard work, and at the end of the day, we’re just glad to have done a good day's labor. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if it’s just industrial history. We just keep moving forward and trying to be useful.
