Pushpak Sign Art

Pushpak Sign Art is located inside the Samvad Complex. If you know where the Ag School is by Talav Gate, we are right across from there. It’s a handy location because there are always people moving around, especially when school lets out. The shop isn't massive, so we have to be careful about where we stack the metal and the plastic sheets. Often, the floor is covered in offcuts and we have to clear a path for anyone coming in. We’ve been at this spot for several years now. It started as a hobby that turned into a job, and now it is just what we do every day. We don't spend money on fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our old clothes because they’re going to get glue or ink on them anyway. Most of our tools have been with us since the beginning. They might look a bit worn out, but they still work fine for making the signs people need. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big order for a new shop opening up. We grab some tea from the stall nearby and just keep going until it's done. It’s not glamorous work, but it feels good to finish a piece and see it looking right. We just keep our heads down and do the job at hand here at the Talav Gate area. It’s a practical life and we are used to the routine of it.
