Maneland Jungle Lodge

We have been out here in the Gir Lion Sanctuary for quite a while now. Living right by the National Park means the air feels different, and sometimes you hear things at night that you wouldn't hear in the city. Maneland Jungle Lodge is just a place for people who want to be close to the forest. It isn't some fancy hotel with gold doorknobs. It's just a bunch of rooms and some space to sit. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the paths and where the animals like to hang out. Usually, folks show up early in the morning for the safaris, and we try to have tea ready for them. The weather gets pretty hot in the summer, but the trees help a bit. Our address is right in the 362135 area, so you really can't get much closer to the lions than this. We just keep things simple. If you want a place that feels like the woods, that’s what we have. Sometimes the power goes out, or it’s a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is living in the wild. We spend our days making sure the garden isn't overgrown and that there's enough food for everyone who stays. It’s a quiet life until the lions roar, and then everyone gets excited. We’ve seen a lot of families come through over the years, and they usually just like sitting under the trees and relaxing.
