Jay Sardar Travels

If you go down towards Vanthali Gate, you will see Hotel Vaibhav, and we are right there below it. Jay Sardar Travels has been operating out of this spot in Junagadh for a good while. Being below a hotel means we see a lot of travelers coming and going with their bags all day long. The air down here is a bit different than out on the main street, a little cooler maybe. Our office is functional, mostly just a place to park ourselves and talk to people about their travel plans. We don't have fancy leather chairs or expensive art on the walls. It is just a regular office with a calendar and some phone lines that ring more than they probably should. Sometimes the stairs get a bit slippery when it rains, so we have to tell people to watch their step. We know the bus drivers and the regulars who are always on the move. It’s a busy life, always checking schedules and making sure things are on track. We don't really have a philosophy or anything like that. We just try to stay organized and make sure we don't mix up the dates for anyone. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and writing things down in our ledgers. When the sun goes down, the area around Vanthali Gate gets a bit quieter, and that is usually when we start packing up for the evening and heading home.
