We are over at the Gujarat Housing Board in Junagadh. The address is L-16, Block-122. It is care of Maldebhai Khuti. Being in the Housing Board area means it feels very much like a neighborhood office. We are surrounded by other blocks and families living nearby. The pincode here is 362001. It is a bit of a maze to find the right block if you haven't been here before, but once you find Block-122, we are right there. The office is simple. We have some plastic chairs for people to wait in and a few large tables where we spread out our work. We deal with rural development projects, so there is always a lot of coordination with the surrounding villages of Junagadh. The shadow of Girnar hill is always nearby, which is a nice sight when we step outside for a break. Inside, it's mostly the sound of people talking and the occasional typewriter or printer going off. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have any decorative plants or fancy paintings. It's just a place where work gets done. Most of us have been here a long time and we know the routine well. We drink our tea, handle the files, and talk to the people who come in looking for assistance with development work. It’s a humble setup for a government office, but it gets the job done for everyone.
