S R Bricks

Our brickyard is in the village of Kailaras, right on M S Road in Morena. It’s a fairly busy area, and being near the road helps with getting our trucks in and out. We make bricks the old-fashioned way, using the local soil and firing them in the kiln. It’s a cycle that repeats every few weeks. We have a bunch of local workers who handle the raw clay and the baking process. It’s a messy job, especially when the wind picks up and blows the dust around. We aren't a corporate office; we’re just a yard where work gets done. You can usually find one of us walking around the stacks or checking on the kiln. People from the Tehsil and District come by when they are starting to build a house or a boundary wall. We don't have any prepared speeches or mission statements. We just show the bricks and tell folks the price for a thousand. Sometimes the batches come out a little different in color because of the fire, but that’s just how it goes with traditional kilns. We spend most of our time outdoors, so we know the weather patterns pretty well. When the sun is out, we work hard to get everything dried and ready. It’s a basic business that’s been part of this village for a while. We just keep making bricks and helping our neighbors build what they need, day after day, regardless of the heat or the dust on the road.
