Down on Jail Road is where Rajendra Exim is situated. It’s a central enough spot, though the traffic can be a nightmare during the morning rush. The building is easy enough to spot, though we don't have any big flashy signs out front. We handle the import and export side of things, mostly focusing on getting goods across borders and making sure the documentation is actually correct. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with the customs agents and the shipping lines. The office itself is quite old-school. We still have stacks of paper in some corners, even though we try to do everything on the computers these days. There’s a small group of us here, and we’ve been together long enough that the morning tea routine is basically automatic. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers, mostly it’s just phone calls and emails all day long. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to take a break, which is usually when we sit around and talk. It’s a grounded place to work. We don't pretend to be anything more than a small team trying to keep the trade moving smoothly. The street outside is always noisy with cars and people, but inside we just focus on the files and the shipping dates. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every week. We just do our best to stay organized and get the jobs finished before the sun goes down.
