Ice Cream Corner

If you are walking around Namtola in the Haticamp area, you will probably see our sign for Ice Cream Corner. We are located right near the Hanuman Mandir, which is a big landmark for everyone in Sivasagar. The bells from the temple ring throughout the day, and it makes for a nice background while we work. We set up this place because there wasn't much else around for the families living nearby. It’s a humble setup, really. We have some shelves, a couple of heavy-duty freezers, and a door that creaks a little when you push it. Most days, we are just waiting for the afternoon rush when school lets out and the kids come running down the lane. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few houses away. Sometimes the rains in Sivasagar get pretty heavy, and we just sit inside watching the water run down the street toward the temple grounds. We don't do much advertising because word of mouth in Namtola is enough. If someone wants a cold snack, they know to look for us by the camp. We try to keep the place stocked up, though sometimes the delivery truck takes its time getting through the narrow roads. It’s just a local business run by local people, trying to make the neighborhood a bit better. We enjoy the routine and the familiar faces that pop in every single day.
