Genral Kirana Store

Suganti Complex is where you will find Genral Kirana Store. We are in the Dhekaha Part on the Main Road. If you are heading towards Pachpakari, we are right there. Being on the main road means it is always noisy with the trucks and bikes passing by. We keep the doors open all day so the breeze comes in, but so does the dust. I spend a lot of time with a duster in my hand. We have all the basic stuff like dal, sugar, and tea. The shop is tucked into the complex and sometimes people miss it if they are driving too fast. We have a small stool where my uncle sits most afternoons. He likes to talk to whoever comes in for a pack of biscuits. It gets busy in the evenings when people are going home from work and realize they forgot to buy salt or matches. We keep everything in bags or containers that we’ve used for a long time. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a little. It’s a simple spot and we don’t try to make it look like anything else. We’ve been here since the complex was built and we know the other shopkeepers well. We share tea sometimes when things are slow. That’s just the way it goes here in Dhekaha. We just sell what people need for their daily cooking and cleaning at home.
