Digital Eye Surveillance

Down on Jail Road in Jorhat, we have our little setup for Digital Eye Surveillance. We are right by the railway crossing, so we hear the trains go by all the time. It’s part of the background noise now. We share the space with Dr. Buddhadev Dutta’s place, which makes it easier for people to find us since most people around here know him. We deal with cameras and all that security stuff. Usually, the office is full of boxes and wires because we are always testing things out before they go to a customer’s house. It isn't a very big space, but it fits what we need. We sit around the table and figure out where the right spots for cameras are. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the road being so close, but we try to keep the gear clean. We are just local folks trying to help other people keep an eye on their shops or homes. There isn't any big mystery to what we do. We just look at the monitors and make sure the cables are plugged in right. If the railway gates are down, you might be sitting there for a while, so you can just look over and see where we are. It’s a busy corner of Jorhat but it keeps us in the loop with what’s going on in town. We keep it simple and focus on the day-to-day work to ensure everything is running like it should.
