Our business, Bitupon Bora Impex Private Limited, is situated over in Gohai Tekelaps in Jorhat. It’s a bit of a local name for a local spot. Jorhat has its own rhythm, and we try to work within that. We aren't a big city firm with thousands of employees; we are just a handful of people who understand the local trade scene. Most of what we do involves sourcing items and figuring out the best way to move them out of the Jorhat sub-division. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting at desks, honestly. Sometimes we have to go out and meet people in the fields or at the warehouses, which is a nice break from the office. We don’t have a polished website or a big marketing team because we don’t really need one. Most people we work with have known us for years. The office is simple, with just the basic stuff we need to stay organized. We try to be practical about things and not overcomplicate the process. Sometimes things go wrong with the transport or the weather slows everything down, but that’s just life here. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the business stays afloat and the goods keep moving. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we know how to do, and we’ve been doing it for some time now in this corner of Jorhat.
