Assam Quality Tea

Assam Quality Tea is based out of Batiporia Chariali. Our post office is P.O-Batiporia. If you know this part of the world, you know it is all about the tea. We spend our days around the leaves. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but there is always something to do. We handle the bags, check the quality of what's coming in, and get it ready. The smell of tea is everywhere, which is one of the better parts of the job. It’s a local operation, mostly just a few of us who grew up around here. We don't have any corporate training or big speeches. We just know what good tea looks like and how it should be handled. Sometimes the weather gets really damp, which is good for the plants but makes our work a bit slower as we have to keep everything dry. Our building is simple, nothing fancy, just a place to store and sort. We drink a lot of tea ourselves while we work. It’s a slow pace of life in Batiporia, but we like it that way. We aren't trying to sell you a dream or anything. We just have this tea here at the Chariali and we spend our time making sure it's handled right. It is what our families have done for a long time and we just continue it.
