Anacc Foundation

Our office is over at Kanak Bhawan in Nachoni Chuk, Jorhat. Prabin Chandra Changmai is the one who looks after the place and keeps everything in order. It’s a local spot that most people in the neighborhood are familiar with. We’ve been operating from this building for some time now. Jorhat is a great place to be, and we enjoy being part of the community here. We don’t go in for big, polished presentations or corporate jargon. Our way of doing things is much more casual and direct. If you come by, you’ll probably find us sitting around a wooden table drinking tea and discussing what needs to be done next. It’s a small foundation, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. There’s no room for being picky about jobs here. We just want to do some good work without making a big fuss about it. The building itself is quite traditional and fits in with the rest of Nachoni Chuk. Sometimes it gets a little cramped when we have a lot of visitors, but we make it work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or expensive furniture. We’re just here to do our bit and be a part of the local life in Jorhat. It’s not a very complicated story, just some local people trying to keep things going in a good direction for everyone in the area. We hope to stay here for a long time.
