AMBORSIA INTERNATIONAL EXPORT PRIVATE LIMITED is tucked away in Charigaon Kathoniakuri. It’s a small place near the Chengaligaon post office in Jorhat. If you know the area, it’s mostly residential and farmland, so it’s a very peaceful place to work. We spend our mornings checking on the goods we are preparing for export. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved sometimes, moving crates and making sure everything is packed tight so nothing breaks during the long journey. The roads here aren't the widest, so we have to be careful when the trucks come to pick things up. In the summer, it gets quite hot, so we usually take a long break in the middle of the day when the sun is at its peak. We have a small porch where we sit and discuss the day's tasks. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We don’t have a fancy dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable for the physical work. The 785010 area is home to us, and we like that we can do global business without leaving our roots. There are always some loose papers on the desks and maybe some tea stains on the coasters. It’s a working office, not a museum. We just keep our heads down and get the boxes moved out on time. The nights are quiet here and we usually close up before it gets too dark outside.
