Wood N Smith

At 44/5 in the PWD Colony, you’ll find Wood N Smith. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads. Our workshop is where we spend almost all of our time. There’s always the smell of wood shavings and some kind of finish in the air. We have tools scattered across the benches and projects in various stages of being finished. It’s not a showroom. It’s a place where we actually make things. Sometimes the floor is covered in sawdust, and we have to sweep it up three times a day. We’re a small team, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone in a suit. Most days we’re wearing aprons or old clothes that can get dirty. We take our time with the work because rushing usually leads to mistakes. The PWD Colony is a decent place to be based. It’s easy for people to find us. We often have people just dropping by to ask about a project or to see what we are working on. We don't have fancy brochures to give them. We just show them what’s on the bench. It’s a practical way to run a business. We just like working with our hands and seeing something finished at the end of the week. We’ve been at this for several years now and don't plan on changing.
