Suresh Sandstone

We are based out in the Riico Industrial Area in Mandore, specifically at unit F-202. Our yard is usually full of sandstone blocks and stacks of tiles. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We spend the whole day out in the yard or in the small shed where the cutting machines are. Mandore is a place where you see a lot of stone work, so we are surrounded by people doing similar things. It gets very dusty, so we are always covered in a layer of fine sand by the end of the shift. Suresh started this company and he is still around most days, making sure everything is running okay. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If people want to see our sandstone, they just come down to the industrial area and look at the piles in the yard. We have some guys who have been with us for a long time and they can tell the quality of a stone just by hitting it with a hammer. It’s a skill you only get by doing the work for years. Some days the sun is really brutal, so we take long breaks in the shade. It’s a tough job but it’s what we know. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. It's just about cutting stone and getting it ready for people who are building things.
