Sooramde Maa Impex Private Limited

Starting out in Jodhpur wasn't easy, but we've been at Plot No. 269 in Roop Nagar for a while now. Most people know this area as Chopasani Jaagir. It is quite dusty around here during the summer months, but that is just part of living in Rajasthan. Sooramde Maa Impex Private Limited is basically just us handling a lot of shipping and receiving. We spend most of our mornings on the phone or checking lists of what needs to go out. It’s not a big corporate setup with fancy desks. We have some old chairs and a computer that sometimes takes its time to start. People stop by for tea and we talk about the market. Jodhpur is a good place for this kind of work because of the local goods. We don't really have a big staff, just a few people who know how to get things moved. Sometimes the paperwork for the exports gets a bit confusing, but we manage to get through it eventually. We’ve had some long days when a big shipment is due, and everyone just stays late until it’s done. There is a lot of traffic on the main course road, so we try to get the trucks in early. It’s simple work, really. We just buy things and sell them where they are needed. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they know someone in the family who worked with us before.
