Sona Mona Industries

Sona Mona Industries is tucked away inside the Jalori Gate area in the Shubh Building. If you know Jodhpur at all, you know that the area inside the gate is full of old buildings and very narrow lanes. It’s always a bit of a squeeze getting through the crowds and the scooters. Our space in the Shubh Building is where we do all our work. It’s an older structure, so it has high ceilings and thick walls that stay surprisingly cool. We have a lot of materials and finished products stacked up against the walls, so there isn't much room for walking around. We’ve been here for a long time and have no plans to go anywhere else. It’s a simple operation with just a few of us. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or office furniture. We just use what we have to get the orders done. Most of our days are spent checking the quality of what we are making and getting things packed for shipping. It’s noisy outside with the market sounds, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We know the local shopkeepers and the guys who deliver our supplies. It feels like a small community inside the gate. We don’t really do any big promotions. People just know we are here in the Shubh Building if they need us. It’s a practical, straightforward way of doing things that has worked for us so far. We just show up every day and do the work.
