Shri Kailash Art

We are out near Shri Kailash Nagar. It’s not in the middle of the city, which is fine by us. You have to take Salawas Road and look for the Sangria Fanta area to find the place. It’s a bit more open here than in the center of Jodhpur. We have space for the workshop and the storage. The road outside can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up. We focus on the art and the pieces we make. It’s a lot of manual labor. You can hear the tools clinking throughout the day. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows. It’s more of a practical setup where work gets done. Sometimes people get lost trying to find us, so we have to give directions over the phone. We start when the sun comes up to beat the heat. By midday, it gets very hot, and we slow down a bit. We drink a lot of water and sit in the shade of the building. The work is slow and takes time. We don't rush it because that’s not how these things are made. Most of our day is spent with our hands on the materials. It’s a simple life out here away from the main traffic. We just focus on finishing what we started and keeping the workshop running day after day.
