Shri Anand Confectionery

We have been running this shop in Pandusar Mohalla for a long time now. If you are looking for us, we are right on the Main Road, very close to the Gurudwara. You can’t miss it because of the crowd that usually gathers near the temple gates in the mornings. Our day starts quite early, usually before the sun is fully up, because we have to get everything ready for the people coming back from their prayers. We sell a variety of basic things like biscuits, some local sweets, and packets of namkeen. It’s not a fancy place with modern decor or anything like that. The shelves are wooden and a bit old, and we keep the sweets in glass jars on the counter. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have been coming here for years. We know what they like and how much they usually buy. Sometimes the traffic on the main road gets really loud and the dust comes inside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of family members helping out. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don't do any big advertising or anything. People just know we are here. Sometimes we run out of the popular milk cake by afternoon, and we just have to tell people to try again tomorrow. It’s a simple life.
