Samutkarsh Economic Development Council

We are located over at House Number 1867/225/1A in Mahaveer Nagar. It is right near Kothari Bhavan, so if you know that landmark, you won't have any trouble finding the Samutkarsh Economic Development Council. We have been set up here for a while. The area is usually pretty active throughout the day. We spend a lot of our time looking at numbers and trying to figure out how to help things grow around here. It is not glamorous work at all. There is lots of sitting at desks and talking on the phone with various people. Sometimes we get out into the streets to see what is actually happening. We aren't some big government agency. We are just local folks who care about how the economy works for regular people. The office is a bit cramped, honestly. We have files stacked up in the corners. But we know where everything is most of the time. It is a quiet spot most mornings until the coffee kicks in. We don't have a fancy website or a PR team. That is not our style. We would rather just talk to people face to face. Dealing with development can be very slow. It takes a lot of patience. We have learned that over the years. You cannot rush things if you want them to last. We just keep showing up and doing the bit we can. It is a steady pace and we like it that way. No need to make a big noise about it. We share this space with a few other things, so it can get a little loud. But we don't mind the noise. It reminds us that there is life all around. We are just glad to have a roof over our heads while we do this.
