We are based in Chandpur, specifically in a building called Shyam Sadan. It’s right across from Bebra Misthan, the sweet shop. Being near a sweet shop is a bit of a problem because the smell of frying jalebis and samosas drifts over all afternoon and makes everyone hungry. S S Global is a small operation, and our office inside Shyam Sadan is pretty simple. We have a few desks, some computers, and a lot of paperwork that never seems to go away. The building is one of those older residential-style places that got converted into offices over time. The staircase is made of stone and feels very solid, though it’s a bit dim in the evenings. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out some of the street noise. Chandpur isn't the quietest place, but it has a good energy to it. Most of the people around here are running small businesses like ours, so we all know each other. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate rules; we just come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a practical way to live, and it suits us just fine. Sometimes we go across to Bebra Misthan for a snack when the day gets too long, and that usually helps us get through the last few hours of work.
