Rakesh Kirana Store

Rakesh Kirana Store is found at 23/18 on the Main Road, specifically Chopasni Road in Jodhpur. We are right near the Manchapurn Balaji temple. It’s a busy spot because of the temple and the main road traffic. Our shop is quite small, but we pack it full of everything from bags of flour to small packets of biscuits. Jodhpur can get very hot, so the shop is a bit of a shaded escape for us during the day. We spend most of our time chatting with the people who live nearby or the ones who stop by after visiting the temple. The counter is old wood and the floor is stone, typical for this part of the city. We don't have a fancy layout, just shelves wherever they would fit. Sometimes the cows walk right past the front door, which is just part of life on Chopasni Road. We try to keep the most common items within reach so we can help people quickly. It’s a humble place, nothing like the big malls. We know most of our customers by their first names. If you’re passing Manchapurn Balaji, you’ll see us at 23/18. It’s just a regular kirana store doing its best to serve the folks in Jodhpur. We keep things moving and keep the shelves stocked as well as we can. It’s just a basic shop for the neighborhood's daily needs and we stay open until quite late.
