Project Trainee

I am currently working as a trainee on various projects here in Jodhpur. I stay at House No.1 Sa 17, over by the First Puliya in the C.H.B area. It’s the home of Amba Das Ji Purohit. Being a trainee means I am learning the ropes. I spend a lot of time watching how the older guys handle the construction and the planning. Rajasthan is beautiful but the sun is no joke when you are out in the field all day. I help out with whatever is needed, whether it’s carrying tools or helping with the basic measurements. I’m still figuring out how everything fits together. It’s a lot of listening and taking notes. My desk—if you can call it that—is usually just a corner of the table. I moved here to get some real experience. Jodhpur has its own way of doing things, and I’m trying to pick that up. I don’t have much to brag about yet since I’m still in the training phase. I just show up early and stay as long as I need to. Sometimes it’s confusing, but I’m getting better at the technical parts. Living with the Purohit family makes things easier since they know the neighborhood well. It’s a quiet life of learning and working hard. I hope to eventually manage my own sites, but for now, I’m just the guy helping out. I spend my evenings reading manuals and looking at old blueprints to catch up on everything I missed during the day.
