Panchmukhi Vishwakarma

Our workshop is over on Power House Road, right at Plot No. 100 on Pal Road. It is a busy area with lots of trucks and noise from the nearby machinery. We do a lot of wood and metal work here, mostly stuff people need for their houses or small shops. The floor is usually covered in sawdust or small metal scraps by noon. We use a lot of different tools, some old and some newer ones we bought recently. My brother and I run the place, and we usually have a couple of guys helping us with the heavy lifting and the painting. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes are always stained with grease or paint by the end of the shift. People bring in their broken furniture or ask us to make frames for windows and doors. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner with a table and a few chairs for visitors to sit. The heat gets pretty bad in the afternoons since we have those big tin roofs that soak up the sun. We usually take a break around 2 PM for lunch and some rest. It’s a loud place because of the saws and hammers, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been at this location for a good number of years. It’s just work we do with our hands every day.
