Somi Conveyor Belting Ltd.

Our office and workshop are at 4F-15 on New Power House Road. We are right opposite the Section 7 Extension. Somi Conveyor Belting is where we spend our time making and fixing belts. It’s a specific kind of work. The belts are heavy and take up a lot of space when they are rolled up. We have a few big tables where we lay them out to work on them. The New Power House Road area is pretty central for us. We get a lot of people stopping by to ask about different belt types. We don't have a glossy catalog. We just show them what we have on the floor. The workshop has that smell of rubber and adhesive. It’s a smell you get used to after a week. Our guys are good with their hands. We do a lot of cutting and splicing. It’s not always clean work, but it’s satisfying to see a belt finished and ready to go. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a small team, so we all know what needs to be done without much talking. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. People know us for being reliable with the conveyor stuff. We just try to keep the machines running and the belts moving. It's a busy shop most of the time, especially when there are urgent repairs needed.
