Jodhpur gets really hot, especially in Basni Phase II. Here at F-267, we have been dealing with cloth for a very long time. It is not a glamorous job. There is lint everywhere and the machines make a lot of noise all day long. My father started things here and now I am mostly the one walking around checking the rolls of fabric. We have piles of different materials stacked up to the ceiling in the back. Sometimes the colors are not exactly what the customer expected, so we have to sort through everything again. It is a lot of manual labor. Loading the trucks in the afternoon is the worst part because of the sun beating down. We usually take a long break around two o'clock. The neighborhood is full of other textile places too. You can hear the hum of the whole industrial area if you stand outside for a minute. We do not have a big office with air conditioning. Just a metal desk in the corner of the warehouse. We spend most of our time making sure the lengths are cut right. It is honest work. The guys who work here live nearby. We know their families and their kids. Sometimes we all share lunch together. Jodhpur is famous for this kind of stuff, but for us, it is just the daily routine. We do not use fancy computers for every little thing. A lot is still done with notebooks and pens.
