Punit Metals

If you are looking for us, we are right behind the Basni Police Station here in MIA Phase II. Jodhpur is almost always dry and dusty, and this industrial area is definitely no different. Punit Metals has been operating out of this big metal shed for a good amount of time now. It is very loud here because of all the heavy machines and the trucks moving on the main road nearby. We spend most of our day handling various metal sheets and parts. Your hands get very dirty and greasy pretty fast once the work actually starts. There is no air conditioning in the shop, just some big industrial fans that move the hot air around the room. We take our short tea breaks under the small tree near the entrance when the heat gets to be too much. Most of our neighbors are also in manufacturing, so we all know the struggle with the frequent power cuts. We started out small and just stayed that way, focusing on what we know how to do best. The floor is usually covered in metal scrap and shavings until we sweep it all up at the end of the shift. It is a bit of a maze back here with all the crates piled up. We do not spend much time on paperwork unless we really have to. Most of the guys working here live in the colonies nearby. We just try to keep the machines running and the daily tasks handled.
