Meenakshi Steel Furniture

Meenakshi Steel Furniture has been sitting here at Jalori Gate Medical Market for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot with all the people coming and going from the hospitals nearby. We spend most of our days surrounded by steel cupboards, almirahs, and heavy desks. The shop isn’t fancy or anything, but it’s where we get the work done. Usually, the morning starts with dusting off the inventory because the road outside gets pretty dusty with all the traffic. People stop by looking for something sturdy for their homes or maybe a locker for their clinic. We show them what’s in stock, explain how the locks work, and sometimes help load things onto a rickshaw or a small truck. It gets loud around here in the afternoons, especially when the tea stall next door is crowded. We mostly just focus on the metalwork and making sure the welding is clean on the pieces we handle. It’s a simple setup. My desk is tucked in the corner behind a row of filing cabinets. We’ve known the other shop owners around Jalori Gate for years, so it feels like a little community. There’s always someone asking for a specific size of shelf or a heavy-duty stool. We don’t do much talk, just show the furniture and let the quality of the steel do the speaking. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till the shutters go down at night.
