Maharaja Emporium

Our shop is right on Mandor Main Road in the Paota area. Most people know the spot because it’s right across from Khet Singh Ji Ka Bangla, which is a big local landmark. We have been here for a good number of years now. Inside, it's a bit of a mix of everything we carry. Sometimes it feels a little crowded because we keep getting new stock and there isn't always a perfect place to put it. We spend most of the day talking to people who walk in or checking on what needs to be restocked on the shelves. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us here making sure things stay in order. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much during the afternoons, especially with the heat. We usually have the door open to catch a breeze when we can. We handle all sorts of different items, mostly things that people look for when they visit this part of town. It’s a lot of dusting and rearranging to keep the place looking decent. We don’t really do any big ads or anything like that. Most folks just see the sign while they are driving past the bangla and stop in to see what we have. It’s a simple way to run a business but it works for us. We just keep things moving one day at a time and try to stay friendly with everyone who stops by to chat.
