Our place is located right near Chirji Lal Sharma’s spot, close to the Sangi Dass Havel in Phalodi. It is a quiet town for the most part, which suits us just fine. Being in the Jodhpur district means we have to deal with a lot of dust and heat, but the inside of the shop stays okay. We handle pharmaceuticals here, which mostly means we spend our time checking lists and shifting crates. It isn't a big, shiny office like you see in the cities. It’s just us working in an old part of town that has a lot of history behind it. You can see the havelis while we take a break for tea. We have to be careful with the medicines, so we spend a lot of time double-checking everything we receive. Most of the people around here are neighbors we’ve known for years. Even though the name on the sign is long, it’s a simple operation. Sometimes the wind picks up and we have to sweep the floor three times a day. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to stay open for when someone needs something. The neighborhood is friendly and folks often stop by just to say hello. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you find the haveli, you’ll find us easily. We don't make a big fuss about things and just get on with it. We just open the doors and start the day like anyone else.
