Krishna Kirana

Krishna Kirana is located right near the Chopasni Choraha on Chopasni Road. Because we are so close to the big intersection, there is always a lot of movement around the shop. People are constantly stopping their bikes for a second to grab a cold drink or a pack of cigarettes. It makes the day go by fast because there is always something happening outside. The store itself is packed from floor to ceiling with all the standard kirana supplies you would expect in Jodhpur. We have rows of biscuits, different types of flour, and soaps lined up on the shelves. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun reflects off the road, but we stay open regardless. The 342003 area is a busy part of town, and being at the choraha means we see a lot of different faces every day. I try to keep the shop organized, but it is hard when you have so much stock in such a small area. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our billing, just a simple ledger and a pen. It works for us and has for a long time. There is no corporate polish here, just a local shopkeeper trying to keep the shelves full and the customers happy with their daily needs.
