Kirana Store

Our Kirana Store is located at Shop No.423 in Tejaji Chowk, which is right in the middle of Gram Baledi. We are very lucky to be situated near the Tejaji Temple, as it is a major landmark for everyone in the village. On festival days or during morning prayers, we can hear the temple bells clearly from the shop, which is actually quite nice. The chowk is always the center of everything happening in Baledi, so we get a lot of foot traffic from people coming to pray or just meeting up with friends. The shop is a bit old, with wooden counters and shelves that have been there for years. We keep a bit of everything stocked up so the local families don't have to travel too far for their daily needs. It gets quite dusty in the summer months when the wind blows through the chowk, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and bags. There is a small bench outside where the older men often sit and chat while we work inside. We don't have any fancy computers or bright lights, just a simple light bulb and a ledger book where we keep track of things. It is a quiet, steady kind of life here in the village, and we have been part of this community for a long time now.
