Khemchand Handicraft

We’re located in the Sangaria Industrial Area, specifically the Mini Growth Center at H-295. It’s a dusty part of town but perfect for what we do. We make handicrafts here. Most of the day you'll hear the sound of wood being cut or metal being hammered. It's not a quiet office environment. We have artisans who have been doing this for years. They don't use fancy machines for everything; a lot of it is done by hand. The workshop is always covered in sawdust and scraps of material. We make all sorts of things, from small decorative items to bigger pieces of furniture. We don't have a glossy catalog. What you see in the workshop is what we have. Sometimes an order takes longer than we thought because the wood didn't dry right or a design was more tricky than it looked. That's just part of making things by hand. We aren't a big corporation with suits and ties. We’re just workers in Sangaria. We’ve been here a while and the neighbors know us. We ship things out to different places, but everything starts right here on the shop floor. It’s a bit messy and loud, but we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and keep making stuff. It’s what we know how to do. Some days are long, and the heat in the industrial area gets to you, but we finish the work.
