It’s a dusty but lively area, and we like the energy here. We aren't trying to be a huge international charity. We just focus on what’s happening right here in our own backyard. The foundation was started by a few of us who thought we could do more for the community if we organized ourselves a bit. It’s a very grounded operation. We don’t spend money on fancy offices; instead, we put everything into the projects we run. Sometimes that means things look a bit messy or unorganized, but the work gets done. We help out with various local needs as they come up. It might be something for the kids one week and something for the farmers the next. We just go where we’re needed. People in Khokhariya know where to find us. We don’t use any corporate talk or try to sound more important than we are. We’re just regular people trying to make life a bit easier for everyone around us. It’s hard work sometimes, especially when the heat in Jodhpur gets bad, but we stick to it. We try to stay honest and just do the job without any ego. That’s how we’ve always operated and how we plan to keep going.
