Home Work

Our address is G-641-7 in the Export Promotion Industrial Park, which everyone just calls Epip, over in Boranada. The name of the place is Home Work, which is a bit of a funny name considering we are located in a giant industrial park full of warehouses and factories. It’s definitely not a home, though we spend enough time here that it feels like one sometimes. The wind blows a lot of sand around Boranada, so we are constantly dusting off the desks and the equipment. It’s a large area, and being at G-641-7 means we are surrounded by other export businesses. You won't find any fancy decorations or art on the walls here. We have basic white walls, some sturdy tables, and the usual office supplies scattered around. The routine is pretty much the same every day: get in, check the orders, and see what needs to be moved out to the docks. It’s a long drive from the residential parts of town, so once we are here, we stay put until the sun goes down. There’s a canteen nearby, but most of us just bring lunch from home and eat while we talk about the day’s tasks. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions of what we do. We just work. The industrial park has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of it long enough that we don’t really notice the noise anymore.
