Himani Detergents

If you head out on the Main Jodhpur Salawas Road, you’ll eventually find us at Plot No. 89/3/1/2. We are based in Salawas, which is in the Tehsilluni part of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It’s quite a drive from the main city center, and the landscape out here is very open and dry. Himani Detergents has been making soap and cleaning products here for a good while. The sun out here in Rajasthan is no joke, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning before it gets too hot. Our facility is pretty basic, just big vats and mixing areas where we prepare the batches. It’s dusty work, and you can always smell the soap in the air for a mile around. We have a small group of local workers who come in from the nearby villages. It’s a quiet life out here on the road to Salawas, away from the noise of the bigger towns. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the mix and making sure the packaging is handled right. We don't have any fancy office staff or a big corporate headquarters. It’s just us out here in the heat, making sure we produce enough to meet the demand. The trucks come by a few times a week to pick up the orders. It’s a simple, honest business and we like being out here in the open.
