Hi-Chem Minerals

We've been at No. 173 Residency Road in Sindhi Colony for quite a while now. Hi-Chem Minerals isn't a fancy place. Most days it’s just us dealing with various types of mineral powders and chemicals that come in and go out. The traffic on Residency Road can get pretty bad around noon, so we usually try to get our loading done early in the morning. It’s a bit dusty here, which is expected when you work with minerals. We spend a lot of time checking bags and making sure the labels are right. There are a few of us here who have seen the neighborhood change over the years. Sindhi Colony has grown a lot, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s straightforward work. Someone calls for a specific grade of material, we check the stock, and we figure out how to get it to them. Sometimes the trucks are late, or a bag rips, and we just deal with it. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just the warehouse and a small desk area where we keep the papers. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a couple of fans that keep things moving. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to supply what people need for their own manufacturing or projects. If you walk by, you’ll probably see us moving pallets around or talking to a driver. That’s pretty much the daily life here at Hi-Chem.
