Guru Rajaram Kirana Store

Our little shop is sitting right across from the Uco Bank here in Dhawa. Being in Jodhpur, it gets pretty dusty sometimes, so we spend a good chunk of the morning just dusting off the jars and packets. It is a kirana store, so it is mostly food items and things for the house. We have bags of flour, different types of lentils, and all the spices you would need for cooking at home. Most people come in after they finish their business at the bank. It makes for a steady flow of folks throughout the day. We have got the old wooden counters and stacks of supplies behind us. It is not a big place, but we pack a lot into the space we have. Sometimes the tea runs out faster than we expect, so we have to keep an eye on that. We do not have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure everything stays organized. My family has been around this area for a long time. People come in not just to buy stuff but to say hello or ask about the weather. We see a lot of farmers and local families coming through. It is a quiet life in Dhawa mostly.
