If you head out to Village Kud in Pipar Shahar, you’ll find us at Gaukarn Organics & Dairy Farms Llp. We are situated in Rajputo Ka Baas, which is a place where everyone knows everyone else. Our day usually starts long before the sun even thinks about coming up because the cows don't wait for anyone. Dealing with dairy and organic farming isn't exactly a clean or easy job, but it is what we do. There is always a fence that needs fixing or a bucket that needs cleaning. We don't have a corporate office with glass walls; our office is mostly the open air and the sheds where the animals stay. The smells are exactly what you would expect from a farm, and we are used to it by now. We focus on keeping things natural, mostly because that is how it has always been done around here. Pipar Road is where we spend most of our time traveling back and forth. It’s a lot of physical labor and sometimes our backs ache at the end of the day, but seeing the animals healthy makes it worth the trouble. We aren't fancy people. We wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. People in the village stop by to chat sometimes, and that is how we hear the local news. It’s a grounded way to live and work, far away from the city noise.
