At Durga Kirana And Provision Store, we spend most of our time right here on Sabji Mandi Road in Jodhpur. We are in the Madhuban Colony area, which is actually quite nice because it's close to Madhuban School. You can imagine how it gets when the school bell rings. All the kids and parents are around, and things get pretty hectic for a bit. Our shop is a mix of a kirana and a provision store, so we keep a bit of everything. From spices and oil to household cleaners, we try to keep the shelves filled up. Jodhpur can get really hot, so in the afternoons, the shop is a bit quiet, but once the sun goes down, it’s a different story. We have some old metal racks that have been with us since we started. They aren't much to look at, but they do the job of holding the heavy bags of flour and sugar. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy logo. Most of our business comes from the people who live in the colony. They trust us to have the basics, and we try not to let them down. It’s a simple way to earn a living, honestly. We deal with the wholesalers, stock the goods, and wait for the bell on the door to ring. That is our day, every single day, and we are quite okay with it.
