Dewal Art Collection

We are over at Plot No. 92 in Hanuman Nagar. It’s right opposite the Balaji Temple, so if you ever get lost, you just look for the temple gates and we are right there on Pal Road. The location is busy, and we hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is a nice background for working. Our collection is spread out across a few rooms that are probably too small for everything we have. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make room for new arrivals. It’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day stuff, from dusting the frames to making sure the temperature doesn’t get too high in the summer. The Pal Road traffic can be a nightmare during the evening, so we usually try to wrap things up before the rush starts. We don’t have a fancy catalog system; it’s mostly just in our heads or written down in a few different notebooks we keep behind the counter. Sometimes a customer comes in and we spend an hour just talking about a single piece, even if they don't buy anything. The walls are covered from top to bottom, and you really have to take your time to see everything we’ve gathered over the years. It’s a bit of a maze, but it’s our maze. We just keep the door open and wait to see who walks in from the street.
